Dik Nicolai (1975) is an independent Dutch portrait photographer.
He produces with full energy his art collections in his studio near the countryside of Amsterdam. Signed with his art name NICOLAII.
In the 90’s he produced his first collage pieces in his studio in Spain, made with trash.
Colorful compositions of street poster parts with handwritten words about his daily life build on wood. And objects made of old pottery, glass & stones he collected in the dry riverbank from San Salvador (Catalunya). Exposed in Barcelona, sold in different countries.
Nicolaii decided to go back to his collection where he started with in Spain. But now only build with glass and pottery, gold and minerals..combined.. with his love for portraits.. characters..emotions.
Nicolaii his new TRASHTHETICS artworks are unique
3d masks, portraits & high quality prints. The 2d collection is
available in several sizes in a maximum of 10 pieces each.
*Prints are made in small editions,
